    probability

    A survey found that people keep their television sets an average of 4.8 years.the standard deviation id 0.89 year.if a person is selected at random.find these probabilities.
    a.) less than 2.5 years?
    b.) between 3 and 4 years?
    c.) more than 4.2 years?

    There is no way of telling without knowing the distribution, however Chebyshev's inequality
    will give bounds for some of these.

    Now if you want us to assume a distribution, or there is a distribution
    associated with this question that you have not mentioned please say.
