    sufficient statistics

    Let X1,X2,...,Xn be a random sample of size n from a distribution with density function f(x;theta) = c2^[-(x-theta)^2]. if c is known, sample mean is sufficient stat for theta. why?

    what is the support?
    is x greater than theta?
    If, so the smallest order stat would be the suff estimator
