Dear all,
This is my first post...
I am a molecular biologist working on samples from a study. My area of expertise is next-generation sequencing and therefore I am unfamiliar with this type of statistical analysis.The study has the following design incorporating 6 experimental groups (n=5) as follows;
Control (No Drug)
G2 (4 days Drug)
G3 (6 days Drug)
G4 (10 days Drug) (Mild Side Effects)
G5 (12 days Drug) (Mod Side Effects)
G6 (14 days Drug) (Mo Side Effects)
For each group of participants, many measurments have been taken (blood levels of certain compounds), the most important being "Side Effects".
My question is whether it is possible to dissect the effect of "Drug" from that of "Side Effect" on the measurements we have taken. The whole idea is to see if anyone of the other measurements is associated with the appearance / severity of side effects. Moreover, whether we can predict side effects before they happen...
Many thanks..
L
NB: This is not a repeat measures study
