Thread: Moment generating function

Hello everybody, I'm currently busy with my paper on statistics and probability. I have encountered some problems with finding a moment generating function and would appreciate any help on it.
Here is the function for which I need to find the moment generating function:

f(x)=1/2e^{(-x/2)} ;x>0


If anybody is willing to spend a couple of minutes of their time I would really appreciate it. I'm able to solve the problems in my textbook, but this is one is murdering me for several hours now... Thanks in advance!

It's not part of my final grade. I have managed to solve the problem by now, turns out my integration skills were a bit rusty and I was being a bit sloppy =) Thanks for offering help anyway.
