Math Help - Is Gamma(1,1) distribution the same as Exp(1) distribution?

    Is Gamma(1,1) distribution the same as Exp(1) distribution?

    Basically im looking at a prior distribution for a random sample x1,x2....xn and im told to use an Exp(1) prior distribution.

    So would this look the same as using gamma(1,1)?

    yes an exponential(Beta)=Gamma(1,Beta)
