I have done it by taking the p.d.f, taking logarithms, finding the derivative and set it equal to 0 so I could find the values that maximises the p.d.f and so the mean of X. Thanks anyway
By definition the mode is the x-coordinate of the maximum turning point of the pdf. So just use calculus.Quote:
