Got an exam tomorrow, have no idea how to do this question from a past exam
sorry for not using latex, i haven't used this forum in a while and don't remember how.
An Investigation is conducted to determine whether the proportion of cracked tiles in a building exceeds a certain percentage. How many tiles must be sampled to estimate the true proportion of cracked tiles to within +1% at the 99% level of confidence

A forumla given on the formula sheet that I'm not sure is applicable is
n>=(2*Z(alpha/2) sigma)/d)^2
alpha /2 is subscript
Also if the formula is not related what is the formula for?
