    Expected Value

Please help me know if I solved this problem correctly

    Given f(x) = 2x+3, Find E(X) for 0 < x < 2

    Expected Value-capture.jpg

So the answer is 34/3. Is that correct?

nope, this does not make sense
I have no idea what x- and x+ are.
But that is not a valid density

    \int_{-\infty}^{\infty}f(x)dx=1 and E(X)=\int_{-\infty}^{\infty}xf(x)dx

    where as \int_0^2(2x+3)dx=10
