    Post Markov Chain

    Hi
    I'm trying to find (if it's possible) an irreducible Markov chain with 8 states and period 2. I understand the meaning of irreducible and period, just need to find the markov chain. Can anyone help??
    thanks

    I mean, you could just manufacture it so that every i, j communicate both ways...

    i<---->j<---->k

    v
    l

    etc...

    This is irreducible, 8 state with period 2.

    you only have 4 states....i,j,k,l but I see what you mean if you were to have 8 communicating states
    Thanks

    Yeah, forum-spacing issues haha. That was what "etc..." was supposed to mean.

    And no problem, anytime.
