    Maximum Likelihood Estimator

    Im not sure how to work out a),ive got some stuff in my revision notes for the rest of the question but i dont want to start the question off from the wrong answer for a,

    This is a gamma density with \alpha=4

    C= {1\over \Gamma(\alpha)\beta^{\alpha}} = {1\over 3!\beta^4}

    The MLE of \beta is \bar X/4
