    What are the MMEs of a Gamma distribution and a Chi-Square distribuion?

    MME=method of moments?

    Just set the sample means equal to the population means

    I got the gamma one..

    For chi square I got E[X1] = v and E[X1^2] = v^2+2v

    Which one do I equate the sample mean with?

    In this case,is the mme of the chi square just v(hat) = X(bar)?
