    A random sample of 10 boys...

    Question : A random sample of 10 boys had a following IQ's 70, 120,110,101, 88,83, 95,98,107, 100. Whether data supports the assumption of a population mean =100?

    This seems to be a two sided test
     H_0:\mu=100 vs.  H_a:\mu\ne 100

    The test statistic is a t with 9 degrees of freedom

     t^*_9={\bar X-100\over s/\sqrt{10}}
