I think the state space is {0 ,1,2,3......} because this is the number of trials needed to get the first success? P{Xn=1} = p P{Xn=0} = q i think again?? and for c is it something to do with teh sum of between 1 and 0 nCn P^x(1-p)1-x?

Let random variable X be the number of trials needed to get the 1st success. Is the state space of random variable X [success, failure]? What would be the probability distribution of X? What's the mean value of X? Research the geometric distribution.
