Decide if the function f is a PDF of a random variable, and obtain the CDF if the function f is a PDF. f(x)= x(2-x) if 0<=x<2 and 0 otherwise I am just not understanding the PDF and CDF at all.

The area under the PDF curve must be equal to 1. The PDF is also the first derivative of the CDF. Do you think you can figure it out now?
