Decide if the function f is a PDF of a random variable, and obtain the CDF if the function f is a PDF.

f(x)= x(2-x) if 0<=x<2
and 0 otherwise

I am just not understanding the PDF and CDF at all.

The area under the PDF curve must be equal to 1.

The PDF is also the first derivative of the CDF.
