I hope someone can answer:
Draw two cards from a stack of 12 cards, numbered 1-12, without replacement what is the probability that the first card is even and the second card is a multiple of 4?
this is what I have so far, after that I'm lost.
A= the event that the first card is even
B= the event that the second card is a multiple of 4
P(A and B) = P(A) x P(B given A)
Why not draw a tree diagram? Then the problem is trivial to do.
