Hello, I came across this problem and I wasn't entirely sure on how to do it. Seeing if someone can give me a hand with it? Or advice on how to get started? All of the pairing of binomial terms confuses me. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

The most important part is figuring out just what the question is asking.

Part A is asking you for the probability of getting two successes out of 13 trials.

Part B is asking you a series of conditional AND statements (13 of them).

Part C is asking you for the probability of getting at LEAST one success out of 13 trials. They give you a hint to use the compliment of this event, which means you only have to computer one probability, and subtract that from 0.

See what you come up with using the above hints. - December 1st 2009, 10:51 AMMahonroy
So these will all be binomials right? So for example the first part will be (13 over 2)?
