    Hi there i need help with this question :

    A chain is formed from
    n links. The strengths of the links are mutually independent,
    and the probability that any one link fails under a specified load is
    q. What is the

    probability that the chain fails under that load?

    The probability that the chain does not fail is the probability that each and everyt link does not fail which is (1-q)^n.
