A baseball player has a hitting average of 0.330 (i.e. 33% of the time he swings at the ball, he hits the ball). The player comes up to bat. What is the probability that the player will not strike out?

If you ignore real baseball for a second, and just say that

not getting out=getting a hit

And so Probability(not getting out)=Probability(getting a hit) then the problem is do-able

If you want to consider walks and hits by pitch, then it's not do-able

If this is for school I would think you are to assume the 1st condition
