    Joint probability mass functions help

    Here's the pmf:

    (a) Verify that this is a legitimate joint pmf.
    (b) Compute the marginal probability mass functions.
    (c) Assume that n = 5 and compute P(X <= 3; Y <= 2)

    i have no idea how to do this.

    You should not post the entire problem onto this forum and ask someone else to solve it for you. Please do not answer the problem. This is a homework assignment and this student has violated Cornell University's Academic Code.
