Suppose a word is picked at random from this sentence.

What is the distribution of the length of the word picked?

What is the distribution of the numbers of vowels in the word?

So , for the first part, are we suppose to just take the number of letters (44) and divide that by the number of words (10)?

And for the second, we take our answer from a and divide it by the number of vowels (16)?

You seem to be trying to calculate a Mean. Why?

Just show the distribution like the problem asks.

Okay.... so i've got for the first part then that the word either have 7, 1, 4, 2, 6, or 8 lettters in them. there's 10 words in total. 1/10 have 7, 1/10 have 1, and so on. so i have distribution probability of length of the word picked as 10% for 7 letters, 10% for 1 letter, 30% for 4 letters, 20% for 2 letters, 20% for 6 letters, and 10% for 8 letters.

how do I go about for the second part?

Why would it be any different? Count the vowels.
