Thread: unity brackets please help

hi, i need some help with newton unity brackets, i am completley stumped, i need to learn them for a motorsport degree. as i need to convert things to SI, i.e mph to m/s i can do it like, say, 300mph * 1609m divide by 3600secs = 134m/s. but i dont know how to use unity brackets, please if anyone can help it will be very much apprciated, i failed my gcse maths 10 years ago, and decided to try and get onto a degree. my brain is about to explode.

yeah, i already found that one, but it doesnt explain it enough for me, it took me two days to figure out that its just conversion factors, then i found loads of stuff on the interweb. cheers for the pointer any ways. peace.
