    depends on what the shape is like. Can you post a picture of it? Irregular shape can mean an infinite number of different shapes so its an impossible question! (For now)

    If you have two functions that match the shape's top half and bottom half, then you can use integration.

    Hi,

    The thing is i want to know how to proceed when finding the area for an irregular shape. the shape can be in any form.

    1. Use a Planimeter

    2. Draw it on squared paper and count squares

    3. Draw it onto paper cut it out weigh it. Weigh a rectangular area of same paper then use the weight ratio times the area of the rectangle to find the unknown area.
