relativity-variation
Hi there! Here is a piece from a book about general relativity http://www.photodump.com/direct/Bbki...ormulation.jpg and it is imposible for me to get equation (1) or to get (3) from (2). Does anyone have any idea what to do? I get (1) only assuming that we care only for a spacelike variation of V, so I project the lie derivative of V with respect to K , to the spacelike hypersyrface via the projective tensor δab+VaVb where the a index is contravariant and the b index covariant. I need some help. Thanks.

Don't double post. If you don't know where is appropriate guess. If your guess

Here is an attemp to derive the relations http://www.photodump.com/direct/Bbki...ropicfluid.jpg . Dont pay much attention to the words just follow the calculations. I need opinions and comments :) .

Calculations seem ok... But some relations come out of the blue, and there seems to be no getting anywhere without them.

ps. Who did the calculations? Does he like feta cheese? :p

Indeed I like feta cheese a lot! Does this affect the calculations :) ? I will soon upload a more detailed version of my attemp!
ps. Do you like feta cheese to?

Feta?Haloumi? It’s all Greek to me! :D
Here is http://www.photodump.com/direct/Bbking22/3.jpg an explanation for some out of the blue relations.

Well, as a child I had one too many sandwitches with feta, so I guess it is in my ...longing genes. :)
