    Help solving complex variable equations

    Hello All, I am hoping you can help me how to solve the following equations for z \epsilon C

    cos \pi z = 0

    and 1 + e^{2z} = 0

    Hint: 2nd one involves taking the complex logarithm after re-arrangement and the 1st one requires understanding when cos(z) = 0 for complex numbers z using the definition.
