Hi,
I've been playing around with this formula for a while.
P(a, b) = (p*P(a + 1, b)) + ((1 - p)*P(a, b + 1))
The boundary values are: P(a, b) = 1 if a = 4, b ≤ 2, P(a, b) = 0 if b = 4, a ≤ 2,
and P(3,3) = (p^2) / (p^2+(1-p)^2)
I was able to use the formula by providing initially the value of p.
Now, I'm thinking, suppose I don't have a value of p, but I have a value for P(0,0)
Is it possible to create a formula that would give me the corresponding value of p from P(0,0)???
