Question 3(i). Force F is $\displaystyle \begin{pmatrix}-2\\3\\-4\end{pmatrix}N$ and Force G is $\displaystyle \begin{pmatrix}-6\\y\\z\end{pmatrix}N$. Given that F and G act in parallel lines, find y and z.

Since F and G lie on parallel lines, they are proportional to each other, i.e., there is a number k such that -2k = -6, 3k = y and -4k = z.
