Show that the nested set theorem is false if F_1 is unbounded I had a hard time understanding the proof of the theorem so I am completely lost on how to solve this problem

I'm not sure what version of the nested theorem you mean but I would try for example $\displaystyle F_n:=[n,+\infty)$ in the real line.
