    Moments

    I am having some real trouble with this, could anybody help, attached is a picture of a chassis with some weights on etc, i need to find out where the pivot point would be. i cant move any of the objects around, does anybody know how to do it?

    6+10+2+8=26 So pivot must push upwards with a force of 26N. Suppose it is a distance x from left hand end of diagram. Then anticlockwise moment of pivot=26x

    This must then equal the total clockwise of the separate downward forces, that is (6*0.5)+(10*3)+........(your 7 and 5 distances can't be correct!)
