On some videos of fractal zooms eg. the Mandelbrot set, the colours of the image change whilst zooming in. Is anyone able to tell me what govens the speed at which they change? Also how is the speed of the 'zoom' calculated? I think i understand that the different colours are linked to the values assigned to that particular pixel as in how quickly it will either move away to infinity or towards the set with iterations of the formula. But, what factor is linked to time on these videos?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks!
