bits of information needed
Your machine produces a table that lists, for each atom in Andrew’s body, the atomic number of that atom (a number from 1 to 92), and the (x, y, z) coordinates of that atom. This table would describe the location and type of every atom in your body:
How many bits of information are contained in this entire table? For comparison, all of the information stored on all computers in the world is on the order of 10^22 bits.
So I calculated earlier that it takes 110 bits to describe the point of a single atom, and that there are 7.73 x 10^27 atoms in a human body.
Any idea how to do this?
