    Is this equation solvable?

    I'm trying to get this equation in terms of y:

    <br /> (Q*(sqrt((2y)/g)-((U*log(sqrt(2gy)+U))/g)+((U*log(U))/g)))=(y*Ap)-V<br />

    Would it be possible to get a closed form solution in terms of y? The reason I ask is because even though the equation is solvable using matlab or something of that nature, I need it in a form where it can be done as a simple hand calculation
