Lightbulb [SOLVED] Physics Help! Need someone to double check my work

A 42.0-kg parachutist lands moving straight downward with a speed of 3.85 m/s. (a) If the parachutist comes to rest with a constant acceleration over a distance of 0.750 m, what force does the ground exert on her? (b) If the parachutist comes to rest over a shorter distance, is the force exerted by the ground greater than, less, than or the same as in part (a)? Explain.

    Thank You.

    ...

If you are asking the reason about it:

Whenever you try to stop a body moving with certain velocity you need to apply a force which stops the body after travelling some distance(say x)
    ageed ?

If yes : Now if you apply a force which stops the same moving body after it travels some distance less than x ,you have applied a stronger force this time --agreed ?

If yes : Apply in your case BTW you are correct
