Thread: applied mathematics fluid

A shaft of diameter 50mm rotates in the journal bearing. At a speed of 2000 revs min. The annular clearance between the shaft and the bearing is 0.025. The viscocity of the oil in the bearing is 0.06Pa

im having problems calculating a) the shear stress on the shaft
b)the torque required to overcome the shear stress
c) the power dissipated in the bearing


and the shaft is 30mm long

any help would be appreciated cheers people
