# distance as a function of time

distance as a function of time
Im trying to figure how to start this problem....I know i need to draw a FBD and use Newtons second Law....But im kind of stuck

heres the problem, I just need to put it into integral form, but not integrate

The net force on the piston is P – kv, and by Newton's second law that should equal ma. But $v=\dot x$ and $a = \ddot x$, so the equation becomes $m\ddot x = P-k\dot x$.
