    Tensor

    I don't understand this following definition of a tensor: A tensor is a quantity with nine components  T_{xx}, T_{xy}, T_{xz}, \ldots T_{zz} which transforms with two factors of  R . (Griffiths, 12). What does that mean?

    actually this is a rank-2 tensor.
