I beg your help, I am a new guy in applied math

I want to learn applied math by myself, so I just figure out a scheme of learning, I am very interested in

realization of real world with information technology, neuro networks, and human organ regeneration. Do

hope guys here can give me some guide about how to learn math.

Re: I beg your help, I am a new guy in applied math

The best way is to applied to a University in your area and secure an entry into Math dept. The rest is easy.....dependig on your willingness and hard working.

Good luck.......

Re: I beg your help, I am a new guy in applied math

On another note, I wouldn't recommend self-learners to use Artin's Algebra. It is quite terse, and without any instructors/lecturers to guide you along, it can get really confusing.

Dear Gusbob:

Thank you for your helpful guide, do hope get more suggestions from you :)

Re: I beg your help, I am a new guy in applied math

I have read the Artin's Algebra briefly, then find that the exercises be without answers, not to mention an accompanied solution guide,

for a self learner, that's terrible.

Dont lose your time ...go to a University....thats the first step you have to do.....self study does not help too much.

Everyone learns differently... all the math that is or was ever taught was thought of by *someone* in a "self-study" scenario, nothing or hardly anything originated in a university class. Heck, Ramanujan derived much of analysis by himself completely isolated from the mathematical community.
