Thread: Fourier Series

Im having difficulty with a fourier series question in a past exam paper.

I have attached the question and solution sheet, however Im struggling to follow the solution to question 1(a).

Could someone please explain the red highlighted area of the solution to question 1(a)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fourier series is a sum of harmonics (the cos(n*omega*t) terms). The rest is straightward integration between limits.
