Ok, this one has got me stumped. I have no idea what to do really.
Given $\displaystyle y^2=7x^3+7x$
where x and y are in meters and y is positive,
what is the normal component of the acceleration when
$\displaystyle x=3m, x=6m/s, x=4m/s^2$
I found when x = 3, y = 14.491 which i can find the magnitude and angle to plot on the xaxis. And i know i need velocity to define nt direction, but thats all I got. I guess im confused from how its set out.
How do i approach this question?

You need to find an expression for $\displaystyle \dot{y}(t),$ so that you can compute the expressions in the other thread on which you commented. How can you do that, do you think?
