    find b (multistep method?)

find b so that the multistep method
    Y_{n+1} = 2by_{n} + (1-2b)y_{n
    -1} + 2h(1-b)( f_n + f_{n-1})
Is convergent. Furthermore, find b so that LTE =o(h^2).

Please provide more context for this question, I could guess what it is about but won't.
