Thread: Fuzzy Logic Project Ideas

Hi there,

I am student of Applied Mathematics (3rd year) and I am currently studying a course called: Building Mathematical Models Part B.

In this course, I have I am required to create a project in Fuzzy Logic. I am allowed to choose any subject I want and to "fuzzify" it.

I have no problem understanding the subject of fuzzy logic, itself, but I just cannot think of a subject to apply it to nor HOW to apply it to that subject.

Can anyone make any suggestion on project ideas and if not, at least explain how I could make a project in Fuzzy Logic. (unfortunately, my Prof. was not kind enough to set these guidelines up for us).

I'm not sure if you are familiar with MATLAB, but here is an excellent Fuzzy Logic Toolbox (literally titled such) for you to use:

I suggest building a fuzzy linear regression of some data. Linear regression can be fuzzified several different ways. As an example, the coefficients can be fuzzy.
