Thread: Reactions Question. Please Help

Hello. I am having a test coming up soon and am totally lost on how to calculate reactions at given points. In this example I am to solve for Reactions at point A & B.



So the first thing I would do is spit this in half into 2 different shapes, one triangle and one rectangle correct?

If I was to solve for the triangle would I do this:


And its location is:
to the right of A?


Is this correct? If not, could someone please explain on how you would approach this question?
