1. ## Polynomial Division Question

Hi, I've got notes etc on polynomial division that I'm currently working through. This is another subject that still baffles me for some reason. Could anyone help me/give me a few pointers on this question. It would be greatly appreciated:

(The numbers in the brackets are squared, cubed etc)

An object moves such that its velocity, V = 27t(3) + 9t(2) - 3t - 10
________________________
3t - 2

a). use polynomial division to simplify the above expression

b). use the simplified expression to find the acceleration after t= 0.5 secs

c). given that displacement, s = 0m when t = 0, find the displacement after 2 seconds.

Thats a pretty big question I'm currently looking at, thanks in advance to anyone who spends time to look at it.

2. The question messed up as I posted it, the 3t -2 should be underneath, its the bottom half of the division.

so, V= 27t(3) + 9t(2) - 3t -10 *Divided by* 3t - 2

I'm new to posting in forums, sorry

3. $(3t-2)(9t^2+9t+5)=27t^3+9t^2-3t-10)$

Its just like long division
