if 4-5=-1, evaluate x2 -3x+1

Take a look at the first question again I think you may be missing something.

The second one I will do here:

-m -1=5 .... multiply both sides of the equation by 3
3

m-3=15 ... add 3 to both sides

m=18

P.S. if you want to say x squared then write x^2
