    linear algebra-dimension of subspace spanned by vectors

    What is the dimension of the subspace spanned by the following vectors?

    [1
    2
    3
    0]

    [2
    3
    0
    4]


    [5
    0
    6
    7]

    [8
    5
    9
    11]

    im assuming you can combine these vectors into a matrix which would look like this...

    [1 2 5 8
    2 3 0 5
    3 0 6 9
    0 4 7 11]

    and then from there what do i do? i think i need to put it in row reduced echelon form, but once i do that, how do i present the answer?

    Row reduce the matrix you formed. Count the pivots of the row reduced matrix. This number is the dimension of the subspace formed by these vectors.
