yeah, I'm working with vectors and vector spaces. Does this mean I've just to add the two vectors?? The particular problem it's in relation to is u(the plus sign in a circle symbol) v = u-v thanks
So do you mean ? Sometimes is also used to denote an operation.
There is no one meaning for . I have seen it used in many, many different ways. The best you can do is to follow your textbook/instructor. A definitions should have appeared there.
