Thread: Solving simultaneous cubic equations

Hi,
I have a pair of simultaneous mapping functions:
u = F1 (x,y), and v = F2 (x,y),
both of which are linear cubic polynomials.

Is there any free software available to help me solve them for x and y? So that I end up with:
x = F3 (u,v), and y = F4 (u,v)

try Mathematica and Maple
Presently, versions are 7.0 and 12.0
