    orthonormal basis question

    Find an orthonormal basis for P_3 with the inner product defined by <f,g> = \int\limits_{-1}^{1}f(t)g(t) dt

    The basis is 1, t, tē, t^3 if I understand what P_3 is.

    Use Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization method.
