    Post Elemantary algebra

    Q) Geometrically represent {-5,7,3} x {-1,1)

    Ans) Is this {(-5,-1),(-5,1),(7,-1),(7,1),(3,-1),(3,1)}

    OR
    i represent it in 3*2 dimentional space.

    \{-5,7,3\} \times \{-1,1\} would normally denote the set of all ordered pairs with the first element drawn from the first set and the second from the second set. So the answer is \{(-5,-1),(-5,1),(7,-1),(7,1),(3,-1),(3,1)\} which is a set or points in \mathbb{R}^2.

    Elementary algbera

    It is written geometrically not in set builder form or roster form. But its a question of Elementary algebra.

    Please provide more explanation if this is not supposed to be the Cartesian product of these sets.
