Just trying to understand this working.

Ive done multiple equations similar to this however, Im having trouble understanding how to formulate the general solution.

Why is there one C1 and two C2's?

Could somebody explain clearly how to formulate the general solution once you have found the values for r?

There is a typo. The last term should not be there.
