Hi Math Forum,
I'm having trouble with group representation theory - I've read a few books about it (Michael Artin's Algebra and J-P Serre's Linear Representation of Finite Groups) but they don't seem to have how to actually solve a representation problem - just definitions and properties.
Does anyone know how to find a representation? Is there a clear method of finding one?
